We're Looking for Lightning Talk (LT) Presenters
RubyKaigi 2008 is currently accepting proposals for Lightning Talks. We're looking for talks on a wide range of topics, from demos of Ruby applications, to your opinions about Ruby itself, and so forth. Please apply if you're interested!
About Lightning Talks
We plan to run a standard battery of 11 talks, each of strictly 5 minutes duration, in a solid 1 hour session. This session will be held in the afternoon of Day 1 (Saturday, June 21) of the conference as part of the main sessions in the Main Hall.
Presentations will be selected from the proposals by the RubyKaigi 2008 Executive Committee.
Regarding Tickets for LT Speakers
Please be aware that Lightning Talk speakers will need tickets to attend the conference. If you are selected as an LT speaker, but were unable to purchase a ticket in advance, the committee shall make arrangements for you to purchase a ticket. Please contact the committee at rubykaigi AT jp.rubyist.net if this is the case.

In the BODY of your application, please include the following details:
- your name, Company/Organization (optional), and a short bio
- LT title
- a summary of your talk
- any comments, special requests
- A projector will be available for your usage. If you have any other equipment needs, please note the details in your application.
Application Deadline and Selection
Applications close on Saturday, May 24, 2008. The selection process will take place after this date, and we will notify applicants of their result soon after.
If there are too many applications, we may close applications early. Please apply as soon as you can!
